4-Sardinia (Italy) 20th September 2013

20th September (Friday)

My seventh day in Cagliari. Friday already! How quickly time flies when you're traveling and you like the place where have gone. Last day of class. We were watching the hypothetical time in Italian language. What caught my attention in this short course is that the teacher never set homework assignment ... Honestly, much better. At lunch I spoke with Renzo, how funny he is ... I gave him my CV and I've taken a picture with him. Then he took me some more pics making coffee, LOLl!

This is Renzo ... With the only one who I spoke in Spanish in Cagliari ^ _ ^

Last day of classes. At the end of the class I said goodbye to everyone and, of course, we took some pictures. Then Eric and Anna Rita gave me their e-mails to keep in touch. We've been talking and they have wished me luck in my job search ...

Below with my teacher, Giuseppe

Simona & me :)

With Anna Rita

Via Giuseppe Garibaldi, the main shopping street in Cagliari. I decided to enter the library Paoline where I bought 3 DVD's, a pendant with my name. When I came I didn't know that it was a religious bookstore. I'm not a believer but I saw some interesting things and the nuns were very kind and friendly to me and I took the time to give them my CV too. They offered me coffe or water and also presented me a small calendar of the Pope. I felt at home and I was surprised cause nowhere in Spain treats you like that...

My purchases

My Italian shoes that I bought the day before

The city to encounter the Pope

Vatican flags were everywhere. The papal environment was evident

In the photo below you can see the statue of King Carlo Felice in Piazza Yenne, the starting point of all main roads of Sardinia. Piazza Yenne is one of the most important squares of Cagliari. It's located at the end of the Largo Carlo Felice in the Stampace neighborhood. The first stone of the square was laid in 1822 when it was named in honor of King Carlo Felice, Piazza San Carlo.

At the second half of the century it was renamed Piazza Yenne, to honor Viceroy Marquis Ettore Veuillet d'Yenne. A statue of King Carlo Felice by Andrea Galassi was placed in 1860 in the vicinity of the square, to continue honoring the king

In the evening I met with Simona and we went to two private schools in Selargius and Quartu. As it was late, the schools were closed ... But we went to Selargius to see where was the school

At home having dinner

Photo below: Pardule sarde! Typical Sardinian sweet... very tasty!

After dinner we went to Marina Piccola

Cagliari Calcio Stadium (Stadio Is Arenas)

After several stops to see the Stadium, and whole the city... we arrived at Via Alghero and we stopped at the shop of Cagliari Calcio... Prices expensive, like all official stores of football clubs ... although they had discounts

Then we went to a creperie next to the school ... although the first idea was to go to an ice cream ... Joseph proposed enter the creperie Black Sun 2 in Via Sonino 183. They had two lists of crepes: sweet and salty... Simona ordered a crepe with Nutella, Joseph giant croissant stuffed with Nutella and I another one but with white chocolate. Healthy food!

I loved  the decorative dolls throughout the local

I want a real one!!!

At 2  in the morning ... after supper pasta, meat, etc. I think we ate in a night all the calories a week ... lol! Below the pictures of my big croissant!!!!!
