4th September

5th September. This day was really hot and we were not able to do what we wanted it... So it was a relaxing day of shopping in Setubal.

First of all, we went to eat to a restaurant in the neighborhood of Montalvão (Bairro do Montalvão) close to home.

I ate rice, chicken and fries 😋

In the afternoon we went to the The Alegro shopping center
to spend time away from the extreme heat. Here two pictures inside the car

The Alegro Setúbal Shopping Center has three underground parking floors, 115 stores, 1 health club, 10 cinemas and 20 restaurants, for a total of 115.365 m² of building area

A Loja Do Gato Preto (The Black Cat Shop)

This shop was founded in Lisbon by Marina Reis Ramos and Mário Tendeiro in 1986. Since then, A Loja do Gato Preto is a brand which is dedicated to the commercialization of decoration items under the slogan “happy homes, free owners"

How cool are these shopping carts Copper!!! I discovered them in Madeira

Sandwich and again fries

After dinner we took a stroll along the seaside promenade

I particularly liked the Dolphin Parade, an exhibition on the river bank of the River Sado with beautiful painted statues of these magnificent animals

The City Hall of Setúbal organizes a painting competition on twenty statues of dolphins (Dolphin paintings contest in Setúbal) in three different positions of the flagship movement of these animals: leaving, flying and entering into the water

The statues, with a length of 2.5 meters and a proportional wide-ranging are manufactured by City Hall and are painted by individual or grupal competitors

This exhibition aims to increase awareness of dolphins protection

Small fishing boats

Setubal is famed for its fresh fish, which is served in the many great restaurants that line the harbour front
