Thursday afternoon, we went to Caniço, a parish in the municipality of Santa Cruz. It was elevated to city status in 2005. Caniço is connected to the urban sprawl of Funchal and is larger than the seat of the municipality. It's located 6 km east of Funchal

The Hotel Riu Palace Madeira in Caniço de Baixo

Four Views Oasis Hotel located by the sea in the picturesque village of Caniço

This hotel is in a perfect location with breathtaking views over the Ilhas Desertas and the Ponta de S. Lourenço, a direct access to the Passeio Marítimo (Promenade) and a fine and diversified cuisine offer, in addition to being close to the sea and in harmony with the landscape

Located on the Reis Magos beach, in the famous Caniço de Baixo resort area, the Four Views Oásis Hotel is situated less than 12 Kms from Funchal and is conveniently situated between the two golf courses in Madeira and only 2 Kms from the Garajau Nature Reserve

The Caniço promenade, also known as the Reis Magos promenade, is located in Caniço de Baixo. This seafront path is an excellent walk close to one of the leading hotel areas in Madeira

Praia dos Reis Magos is a very popular pebble beach located near the village of Caniço, the second most important tourist area; a quiet place where you can enjoy a relaxing day on the beach.
