30-Madeira (Portugal): 18-19 July 2014

 18th July (Friday)

I love walking while I see the sea...

The Promenade is my favorite walking area

Shopping is one of my other great passions and my fav shopping centre was Forum Madeira

In the afternoon having a stroll through São Martinho with Andreia

Jardim de São Martinho (São Martinho Garden).
The archipelago has an impressive variety of gardens and parks

This green space was inaugurated in September 2009 and has an area of  4.740 m2.

The main goal was to increase the council’s green area, going at the same time through the requalification of a degraded area that had to due to its misuse in the past

Apart from its slopes and according to Amparo Urbanization Plan, this area aims to be something else: a green area of major proportions yet to explore

This garden was structured by different thematic areas, characterized by its peculiar types of vegetation. Up till now, around 145 trees of 60 species have been planted

The exuberance of green spaces is one of the greatest features of Madeira

I'm in love with this island

A relaxing tranquil environment with excellent views

Marítimo's cap :-) I bought this cap and a flag of this team... My favourite Madeiran club

Postcard landscapes

Quietness and relax

Força Marítimo!

I would love to walk here with Dante...

19th July (Saturday)

It's Saturday, there's football in Choupana. Andreia and I
were watching  the official presentation of the Nacional de Madeira

Clube Desportivo Nacional - Season 2014/2015

The stadium

Preparations for the presentation ceremony

The tour inside the stadium

Making my way up the stairs

Cidade Desportiva do Clube Desportivo Nacional - Info about the Sports City of Nacional

Some trophies won by Nacional exposed at the Stadium

The Trophy, Ramón de Carranza, is together with the one of Teresa Herrera in La Coruña the most important and oldest Trophy of the ones held in Spain in summer

Nacional played and won against C.A. Osasuna and Rayo Vallecano in 2012.
This is the Osasuna pennant

Nacional Madeira beat Rayo Vallecano by three goals to one in the final of LVIII Ramón de Carranza Trophy, played at the Ramón de Carranza stadium Cadiz

The winners :-)

One more trophy, this one won in Croatia

Despite the late start of the event and the cold weather, we had a great time

Each player gave balls to the supporters...  though we were not lucky enough

The full team ready for the official photo

Coincidentally, was sitting next to the Edgar Abreu's mom. Edgar Abreu is one of the footballers of the club... And on the pictures below we were showing the poster of her son xD. The woman was also with her husband and the little boy (youger brother of Edgar)
