The last day of Portugal in the World Cup: Portugal vs Ghana
Andreia, Caty and I went together to Praça do Mar to watch the game
There were less people because the possibilities of going through were slight
A friend of Catia also came to watch the match in the square
Portuguese national anthem was sung everyone
Beto, the goalkeeper
Cristiano Ronaldo
The African goalkeeper flying
A lack thrown by Cristiano
Big supporters!!!
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL. Portugal 1-0 Ghana... but Paulo’s Bento’s side would have required at least another three goals without reply to pip USA to second place in Group G
That advantage lasted just 12 minutes into the second half. Andre Ayew did well to free Kwadwo Asamoah down the left, and his cross with the outside of his boot was headed home at the back post by Gyan
Asamoah, Gyan and Agyeman Badu all tried their luck but failed to trouble Beto, before Portugal were gifted a goal on 80 mnutes. Jonathan Mensah headed a Nani cross up in the air and Fatau, rather than catching it, flapped it straight into the path of Ronaldo, who slotted the ball into the bottom corner (2-1)
After the match :'(
2-1 victory over Ghana wasn't enough for the Portuguese to progress
Nani behind me on the screen xD
Paulo Bento's charges finish third in Group G, behind the United States
– beaten 1-0 by section winners Germany on Thursday – on goal difference
Goodbye to the World Cup...
Crossing the other square with screens, Largo do Colégio. Bento at the press conference

The club's shield
The club also created a school: Colégio do Maritimo, preschool and elementary school (children from 3-9 years old) which houses 300 students directly linked to the club, in one of the most populated areas
A living institution equipped with an educational project very unique, giving children and young people an education of excellence, which is not only to acquire knowledge more instrumental or more cognitive, emotional or artistic skills, but also to educate values :)
They have also their own TV... ^_^ Marítimo TV

São António church. The civil parish of Santo António is located on the north-eastern part of the city centre, on the way to the mountain. It's a very large civil parish, characterised by great differences in altitude, ranging from sea level to high up on the mountain. As such, it is has different types of climate and magnificent views over the city of Funchal
